3 Tips for Fun Family Movie Nights

During this time at home, our family has had to get creative with fun ways to spend time together! One of our favorite things to do is have family movie nights. We try to plan a movie night at least once a week, and always make it special for Aimery. It’s a great way for Ben and I to spend quality time together and make great memories while watching our favorite movies. We make a night out of it by playing games, building pillow forts, and eating our favorite snacks. Keep reading for three tips for fun family movie nights!

CHOOSING THE BEST MOVIES

When choosing a movie, Ben and I love to introduce our favorite movies from our childhood to Aimery. We picked up the E.T. Extra-Terrestrial DVD from Walmart this past week, and had the best time making new memories watching it together as a family. We also picked up Aimery’s favorite movie, Trolls, which included an exclusive Universal Pictures cinch bag. It’s an enjoyable movie for all ages! We were able to pick up both of these DVD’s from Walmart Pick-Up, along with our favorite movie snacks!

PICKING UP FAVORITE SNACKS

While at Walmart picking up E.T. and Trolls, we also grabbed our favorite snacks! We love to make popcorn in our new popcorn maker, complete with butter and sprinkles. We went with the Trolls theme and picked up colorful snacks like fruit loops, colored candy, and rainbow grapes!

PILLOW FORT

We always create pillow forts in our living room before we press play on our movie! We love to put up Aimery’s teepee and bring down all of the sheets, blankets, and comforters to create a cozy space and lots of fort room. Aimery will bring pillows from all over the house and put them inside. It’s always so fun putting it together!
