When you ask Ben and Aimery what their favorite dessert is, they will quickly answer cookies! Over the last year, Aimery and I have really enjoyed baking together, even if there’s a broken mixer along the way - oops! We made these Easter M&M cookies this afternoon and had a dance party, which is our definition of a perfect day. Sharing our recipe below, inspired by Joanna Gaines herself!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature

  • 2 cups packed light brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups M&M’s

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt and set aside.

  3. Mix sugar and butter in a stand mixer on medium-high speed until fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla.

  4. Add flour mixture to mixer until dough is formed. Add M&M’s to mix.

  5. Drop dough onto baking sheet in large spoonfuls and bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Enjoy!
