Can you believe that this summer is already coming to an end? One of my summer goals was to make time for my close friends and family, so I’m doing my best to meet up with everyone during the month of August! This past weekend, I had lunch plans with one of my closest friends. Unfortunately, our lunch plans were a little ruined due to rain so we decided to quickly order some take out!
Today, our little boy turns three 💛Last weekend we celebrated Aimery by throwing him a small party with our closest family! It wasn’t super pinterest-worthy, but it was a party that we will never forget! It was everything Aims requested, from the party hats to hundreds of balloons. We had an amazing time celebrating him, connecting with our family, and making memories. Keep scrolling for all of the birthday photos!
This year is the first that Aimery will be going to school full day! I’m just as excited as I am nervous, but above all I’m shocked at how fast he’s growing up! It’s so cool to see him developing his own personality and preferences. Now that he’s older, he’s been taking more of an active role in preparing for back to school, where does the time go?!
Did you know that 43% of homeowners have an emergency escape plan and only 33% have discussed fire safety with their family?* In the event of an emergency, every second counts. That’s why it’s important to plan and practice your emergency escape route and discuss fire safety with your entire family. As Aimery is getting older, we want to teach him more about fire safety and what to do in the event that a fire would occur in our home. I initially thought the idea of it might make him scared, but he couldn’t have been more excited to learn and help Ben & I with our preparations!
With back to school season quickly approaching, I’m already dreading the craziness that comes with this time of year! With Aimery back in school and all of us adjusting to new schedules, it’s more important than ever to make time for family dinner. Growing up, my family always made time for each other at the end of most nights, and that is definitely something I want to continue doing with Aims! I’m looking forward to dinner time with my family, even though sometimes it can be stressful to throw together with school, late work nights, and soccer practice taking over our fall routines. I would rather find meals that take under 30 minutes than to be away from Aimery for hours preparing a meal! It can be hard to find quick meal ideas, so I’m always on the lookout for easy meals to throw together and are great for my family!
One of our favorite things to do in the summer is road trip as a family. We love seeing new places and now that Aimery is getting older, we feel more comfortable driving 2+ hours a way! We recently took a road trip to visit family friends in Maryland! Luckily my friends have a pool where we were able to hangout during the heatwave last week. No matter where we go, near and far, we always make sure to pack our Road Trip essentials! Keep reading for 5 of our road trip essentials!
Last year, Aimery and I moved into a townhouse when I became a single mom following my divorce. Fast forward a year, I’m back up on my feet and running not only one, but two businesses! Now, this January has a new, exciting, transition. This winter, I’m planning on buying my first house!
adidas is my favorite fitness apparel brand! Whether I am running errands, working out at the gym, or on the trail, you can spot me in adidas! I love the style, functionality, durability, and longevity of their products. I always feel more motivated in my adidas apparel and it allows me to not only work out harder, but also power through my day. My favorite way to stay active is by running in the evening, especially now that the weather is getting warmer. This work out routine has been such a stress reliever for me! I’m always getting questions about what I pack in my bag before hitting the gym (or trail!), so keep reading for 5 things that I always pack in my bag!
Can you believe we’re almost halfway through summer? With such a busy schedule it can often be hard to find time to get outside and enjoy my favorite season, while it lasts! I recently planned an outdoor picnic for my best friend and I so we could spend the day together and catch up. We gossiped over the cutest pineapple bowls - and they taste amazing too!
Who says you can only have tacos on Tuesdays? We love tacos, no matter what day of the week! When Ben and I started dating, our families both started having a weekly dinner night for us all to gather together and catch up. Once a month, Ben and I host our families for dinner! This week, we hosted a Taco Bout A Party! They say, “When you find true love hold it with both hands because tacos can be messy sometimes!” so to say my heart is full is an understatement. Keep reading for our favorite taco idea!
