First Trimester Must Haves

Now that I am no longer in my first trimester, I want to share my tried and true products that SAVED MY LIFE during my first trimester! When I was pregnant with Aimery, I don’t remember having nearly as much morning sickness as I did this go around with baby girl. She definitely made her presence known! We ended up announcing our pregnancy very early because there was no hiding cancelling dinner plans and constantly having to run to the bathroom (for peeing and nausea, lol). Keep reading for my first trimester must haves!

Prenatal - The first thing you need during your first trimester is finding a great prenatal. Should you still be trying to get pregnant, you can even start one now! I don’t do well with pills or large supplements, so this time around I switched to MyKind Organics because their vitamin chews taste great. Even when I couldn’t eat anything during my first trimester, I could stomach these! They taste like candy.

Pregnancy Apps - Pregnancy apps make this time so much fun, as most include daily and weekly updates about both mom and baby! My favorite are What to Expect, The Bump, and Ovia Pregnancy. If you prefer to read, the What to Expect book is great for any first time mom!

Bralettes - You definitely want to invest in some comfortable bras or bralettes during your pregnancy! You don’t want to be wearing anything too tight, since you need some room to grow 😉These from target are my favorite!

Morning Sickness Relief tea - I always found most success with relief tea when it comes to morning sickness. I loved drinking them in the evening and also in the morning with a small breakfast. I drank this one the most during my first trimester.

Anti-Nausea candies - They are great for both distracting you and keeping you from being nauseous! Make sure to find one with ginger! I loved these.

Crystalized ginger - Just take ALL the ginger! Ginger is great to help with morning sickness! My friend gave me these during my first trimester and they helped me so much.

Stay Hydrated - Always be sure to have a water bottle on hand! Although it’s important to make sure you are drinking enough water during your pregnancy, the first trimester can make that tricky! I drank a lot of Zevia Ginger Ale and these Body Armour drinks during my first trimester.

Yoga Mat - Although some people may have an easy time getting a work out in their first trimester, also know that it’s not always possible! I had a really hard time getting out of bed every day, let alone trying to get a work out in! On days that were harder than others, I did some pregnancy yoga or just simply stretched on a yoga mat. Take everyday at your own pace!
