In the craziness of the holiday season, I love spending the weekends unplugged! We like to plan fun activities and day trips, to spend quality time as a family! One of our favorites is Kalahari Resorts, which is a quick drive away from where we live in Lancaster. They have the world’s largest water park, making it the perfect winter getaway for the whole family. For adults, they even have a hot tub that goes outside and a pool with a swim up bar. We always try to make a date at the spa while we are at Kalahari as well! With a variety of services, they have treatments for every level of relaxation.
One of the best things about Kalahari is the amount of activities they have for kids, including a dedicated play area in the waterpark. It’s been great for Aimery as he is still getting comfortable with water and learning to swim! He absolutely loves going down the slides and being independent, while we’re close by of course!
After a day spent at the waterpark, there is a variety of places to eat with over 10 different dining options at the resort! Our favorite is B-lux because of the unique, handcrafted burgers, delicious shakes and kid-friendly options, (Aims loves the mac & cheese!) It’s a great place to grab quality food with your family or sit back and watch the latest sporting event on one of their huge TV’s!
You never run out of things to do at Kalahari, with so many amenities on site! From housing the world’s largest waterpark, to a full service spa, they have something for everyone in your family!
