Apple Cinnamon French Toast

We had some leftover apple pie filling in our fridge, and so I decided to whip up some Apple Cinnamon French Toast so it wouldn’t go to waste! Aimery absolutely loves french toast - he went through a stage last fall where it was the only thing he would eat. Can you blame him though? French toast is SO good, and this recipe you can eat for breakfast or dessert! Nothing like a huge sugar rush first thing in the morning 😂This is definitely a lazy girl french toast recipe, so keep reading!

All you need is your favorite bread (we love Thomas Swirl), eggs, heavy cream, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and apple pie filling!

Apple Cinnamon French Toast

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of Thomas Swirl Bread

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 Tbsp heavy cream

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • apple pie filling

Directions:

  1. Preheat a cooking pan on medium heat and grease with oil.

  2. Whisk eggs, heavy cream, cinnamon, and vanilla extract together until smooth.

  3. Generously dip bread slices into egg mixture, coat both sides.

  4. Cook French toast on medium heat for about 3-5 minutes on each side.

  5. Top french toast with apple pie filling.
