Now that Aimery is back to school after winter break, our family is working on our resolutions while being in our new year routine. One way our family is going to be healthier this year, is by making better substitutions to what we pack for lunch at school and work. I recently chatted with you girls on Instagram about Aimery’s energy levels and complaints about his belly hurting. Many of you suggested transitioning him to a gluten-free diet for a few weeks and see how that would affect his overall health!

Although it was pretty easy for us to make changes to his diet for breakfast and dinner, we found it a struggle to find gluten-free lunch options to send him to school with! We tried a bunch of new things last week and I’ll share them with you below, everything listed is Aimery-approved! The easiest thing for us to pack has to be the new Brainiac™ Kids applesauce, it’s a convenient way to have Aimery eating fruit at school - and I never have to worry about added sugar or artificial preservatives when shopping this brand!

When coming up with ideas on what to pack in Aimery’s lunch, I always incorporate at least one of each of the following: protein, carb, vegetable, fruit, and fun snacks! This way, I know that his lunch will always be well-balanced and he’ll have fuel for his whole day!

FRUIT

Aimery’s preschool has a lot of rules when sending fruit to school, as mostly everything needs to be cut up in bite size pieces and can’t be an allergy for other students. Have you ever spent the time trying to cut grapes into fourths just to have your kids not touch them during lunch? Such a pain! We recently started sending Aimery to school with Brainiac™ Kids applesauce to fuel Aimery’s growing mind with food that he enjoys eating. Each “kid approved” serving of applesauce has the BrainPack®, and has 90% of their daily omega-3s needed! Made with 100% real fruit and no added sugars or artificial preservatives, I feel comfortable giving these to Aimery at school!
