How to Make Smoothie Bowls at Home

When I was living in Miami, I absolutely LOVED getting Acai Bowls at the local food trucks! They were SO good and I wanted to eat them everyday for breakfast. Aimery also loves them, which is great because he has gotten SO picky about the food he eats recently! I'm pretty sure the only other things he eats are Chick-Fil-A nuggets, french toast, and granola bars. Now that we're a long way from Miami, I decided to try to make them at home, and they turned out amazing!

Smoothie bowls are SUPER easy to make! It's hard to mess them up, just take whatever fruit (and even vegetables) that you have on hand and blend them up! We like to use our Infuser 3-In-1 Digital PowerCrush Blending System from Black and Decker to make our smoothie bowls.

This Black and Decker Infuser blender has 900W of power to pulverize ice and frozen fruit, which makes it ideal for smoothies! You can also use this blender to make shakes and even infuse water! There are easy controls on this blending system that allow for perfect consistency regardless of what you're making. This blender also has easy clean up, the parts are removable and dishwasher safe.

To make the smoothie bowls, start by adding the softer ingredients before the frozen. This allows for easier blending! I like to add the banana, milk, yogurt, and seeds first, and then add the frozen fruit/vegetables and ice. This blender has a smoothie setting that works great! Once all ingredients are ready for blending, turn on the smoothie setting and the blender will do all the work for you.

Once blended, pour your smoothie into a bowl and add your favorite toppings! Granola, fresh fruit, shredded coconut, chocolate chips, and seeds make for great smoothie bowls. I could seriously eat one of these every day!

Smoothie Bowl

  • Acai Frozen Puree
  • Frozen Mixed Berries
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Cup Almond Milk, Coconut Milk, or Regular Milk-- whatever you normally use!

Blend all ingredients in your Black & Decker blender.

Top with your favorites -- fresh fruit, shaved coconut, hemp seeds, granola. I love adding dark chocolate chips to mine too! (is that weird?)
