As much as I love that fall is (finally!) here, I could do without the colder weather & shorter days. This also means the onset of the busiest time of year for my business. Even in the madness of the upcoming holidays, I sometimes feel selfish taking time for myself. I always try to remind myself that setting aside time for myself only makes me a better mother, wife, and leader in my business. A new season is the perfect time to start new routines, and today I’m sharing with you three ways that I am incorporating self-care this fall!

BEGIN WITH YOUR SKIN

It’s Halloween, everyone is entitled to to a great scare… and great skincare! You guys know that when it comes to beauty, I like using products with simple and natural ingredients. My schedule is so busy and it really helps having a no-fuss routine for on the go, with versatile products to save me time. I recently fell in love with Heritage Store’s Rosewater products! They can be used as the base of your skincare routine or the last step in your makeup application! Rosewater & Glycerin have a wide variety of uses, from perfume to a setting spray. Some of my favorites are after the gym to cool you down (bonus tip: You can keep it in the fridge for added effect!) and in my hair for extra shine. The hydration qualities make it perfect for upcoming colder months, as it can be applied to hair and skin for boosted moisture!

The Rosewater Facial Toner removes debris from skin to give an overall healthy glow. I love that it tones the skin and diminishes the look of fine lines! I use the Rose Petals Rosewater Facial Toner every night by applying it to my face with a soft cotton. Heritage Store Products are available at Natural health food stores (Whole Foods, Sprouts, Lucky’s, Fresh Thyme, Natural Grocers, local co-ops), as well as Target, Ulta and Urban Outfitters. FALL IN LOVE WITH SEASONAL VEGETABLES

Cooking is very therapeutic for me and can be a great act of self care when using the best ingredients! I love finding new recipes and culinary creations made with local vegetables. For that reason, I am so grateful to live in Lancaster County, especially during the fall. This time of the year markets start popping up selling all kinds of produce directly from the farms in the area. Some places even allow you to pick the vegetables yourself, which is something we want to try this year. Some of my fall favorites are apples, pumpkins and sweet potatoes!

DIGITAL DETOX

The last quarter of the year is the busiest time for my businesses, both of which are based entirely online. (Blogger Babes, you ready for Q4?!) As much as I love the flexibility of working from wifi, it can also mean added screen time during peak months. The last couple weeks I’ve been trying my best to unplug during the weekends and spend time doing fun fall things as a family. Even though this season is an important time for my businesses, I try to always remember who and what the holidays are really about!
