I saw a quote today that said "I wish I was full of tacos instead of emotions" and that pretty much sums up my life right about now.

Let's just jump right to the point... our time of the month sucks. It happens every month and whenever it does, we feel as though life as we know it might just end. But although it's SO annoying to deal with, there are ways to make it easier! I have created a time of the month survival kit to lift my spirits whenever my monthly "friend" comes to visit. I use this time to focus on loving myself through feeding my cravings, feminine care, and taking care of myself. This survival kit is made for every woman - and would be a great gift for yourself or a teenage daughter getting her period for the first time! Keep reading for 8 things to include in your time of the month survival kit.

PAIN RELIEVER

Make your time of the month easier with picking up a pain reliever at your drugstore. It will help with cramps and headaches during that time!

SKINCARE PRODUCTS

When I was in high school, my face broke out every time I started PMSing. Now that I'm older, the acne is nonexistent (finally!) but now I'm dealing with dry skin especially during my time of the month. I always use this time to focus on my skin by applying hydrating face masks and using products that keep my skin moisturized!

NAIL POLISH

Just another way to practice self-love! I normally like getting my nails done professionally, but sometimes it's fun to turn on some Netflix and just relax by painting my toes!

TEA

Tea is great for PMS symptoms because it helps with anxiety and irritability caused by hormonal shifts. Chamomile and other decaf herbal teas are great for your time of the month!

WATER

Along with drinking tea, you'll also want to stay hydrated by drinking a TON of water. Vitamin-infused water is also a great option!

CHOCOLATE

Arguably the most important item on this list.

FEMININE WASH + WIPES

This one speaks for itself.

AND OF COURSE, SIMPLY GENTLE GUIDE TAMPONS

Since I live an active lifestyle, I have always preferred using tampons over pads during my time of the month. Especially while I'm on my period, I want to feel good about the products I choose. That’s why I use Playtex Simply Gentle Glide. With Simply Gentle Glide you can have the best of both worlds – it’s simple and a great value! Which is why this brand is the only one I trust during my time of the month.

If you've been following my blog for a while, then you know I am very careful about the products I use. Every ingredient used in Playtex Simply Gentle Glide is rigorously evaluated to provide reliable protection that you can trust to be gentle and safe for your body** since the comfort shape applicator is free from colors, dyes and BPA! In fact, the purified fibers are washed up to five times and weaved together to form an absorbent core.

**When used as instructed.

Being a mom and business owner, I need tampons to be one less thing I have to worry about! Playtex Simply Glide has 360 degree protection that shapes to your body for a protective barrier against leaks.  In today’s world, sometimes there’s just too much extra! When it comes to tampons, you want it to work with the things you need – comfort, protection, and none of the “extra” bells and whistles you don’t. Check out this video if you need to be more convinced that these are the most extra tampons yet! Use this coupon [INSERT LINK, for...].
