Lemonade Ice Cream


I have always wanted to try making my own ice cream at home, so I finally gave in and ordered this ice cream maker! I LOVE making my own ice cream - it's so easy to make and I get to try out as many flavors as I want! During the summer, Aimery and I have been loving lemonade ice cream... so today I wanted to share a recipe just for fun!


Lemonade Ice Cream
Makes 1 Quart
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook Time: 30 Minutes


  • 3 Cups Whole Milk

  • 6 Egg Yolks

  • 2/3 Cups Granulated Sugar

  • 2 Tsp Lemon Extract

  • 3 Tbsp Lemon Juice

  • Zest of 2 Lemons

  • 2/3 Cups Frozen Lemonade Concentrate


1. Boil milk in a heavy pan.
2. Beat egg yolks and sugar in a bowl, and slowly pour into boiled milk while whisking. Cook over low heat until mix thickens slightly. 
3. Add lemon extract, zest, and juice to pan.
4. Cool to room temperature and refrigerate for 3 hours.
5. Turn on your ice cream maker and add mixture. Once it starts to thicken, add lemonade concentrate until desired consistency!
